The Put God First Challenge

Day 13: God's Grace

Father,

Your grace is more than I can comprehend. I didn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, yet You freely pour it out over my life. Your grace saves me, sustains me, and strengthens me when I feel weak. Thank You for this incredible gift. Help me to live each day with a heart that is aware of Your grace and grateful for it.

Ephesians 2:8 tells me that it is by grace I have been saved through faith—not by works, so that no one can boast. Lord, I confess that sometimes I strive to earn what You have already freely given. I try to prove myself, to be “good enough,” to measure up to a standard that You never set. Remind me that Your grace is not something I achieve—it is something I receive.

Paul wrote that Your grace is sufficient and that Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). That is hard for me to grasp, because I don’t like feeling weak. I want to be strong, capable, and in control. But You call me to lean on You, to trust that Your grace is enough, even when I feel like I am not. When I struggle, help me to rest in Your grace instead of my own strength.

Your grace doesn’t just save me—it transforms me. Titus 2:11-12 says that Your grace teaches me to say no to ungodliness and to live a life that honors You. Lord, let Your grace shape me. Let it soften my heart, change my attitudes, and guide my actions. I don’t want to take Your grace for granted—I want to let it lead me closer to You.

Thank You, Father, for the never-ending, all-sufficient grace You have given me through Jesus Christ. Thank You for loving me when I fail, for pursuing me when I wander, and for holding me even when I don’t deserve it. Help me to extend the same grace to others that You have given to me.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
