Day 14: Transformation Through Christ
Father,
You are in the business of transformation. You don’t leave me as I am, but You shape me, renew me, and make me more like Jesus. Sometimes, I resist change—I cling to old habits, old ways of thinking, and old wounds that hold me back. But You call me to be transformed by the renewing of my mind (Romans 12:2). Lord, help me to surrender to Your work in me.
I am a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The old has gone, and the new has come. Yet, I confess that sometimes I still live as if I am bound to my past. I struggle with guilt, shame, and the weight of mistakes I’ve made. But Your Word reminds me that I am not who I used to be. You have washed me clean, given me a new heart, and clothed me in righteousness.
Jesus, I want my life to reflect the change You have made in me. I want my words, my actions, and my thoughts to align with who You are. Colossians 3 tells me to put off the old self and to put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of my Creator. Lord, strip away anything in me that does not honor You. Fill me with Your Spirit and make me more like You.
There are days when transformation feels slow—when I fall into old patterns, when my heart grows weary, when change feels impossible. But I hold onto the promise that You, who began a good work in me, will carry it to completion (Philippians 1:6). I am not a finished work yet, but I am in Your hands, and that is enough.
Thank You for the work You are doing in me, even when I don’t see it. Thank You for the grace that covers me in the process. Keep transforming me, Lord. I don’t want to stay the same—I want to be more like You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
